About Us

On behalf of Online Learning Developments, welcome to the Marie Curie Learning Zone. This site has been developed with the prime aim of indirectly supporting the delivery of high quality palliative care to patients and their families.

Wherever and whenever you practice within Marie Curie Cancer Care and can login to the internet, you will be able to access the Learning Zone.

Online Learning Developments

Online Learning Developments is part of Marie Curie Cancer Care's Skills and Training Team. Our role is to:

• Support the strategic aspirations outlined in the Marie Curie strategic plan 2008-2011
• Promote wider access to learning opportunities for staff working for Marie Curie Cancer Care
• Utilise information technology and distance learning approaches to develop programmes of learning
• Contribute to the modernisation of workforce development programmes
• Coordinate the development of the Marie Curie Learning Zone and the online classroom, Moodle
• Facilitate the development of staff supporting online learning
