Millions of fabric daffodils are set to hit the streets of Britain over the month of March - but Marie Curie Cancer Care still needs your help with the Great Daffodil Appeal

Marie Curie Cancer Care human daffodil DaffyMarie Curie Cancer Care is running most Great Daffodil Appeal collections between March 4 to March 19.

Collections in Wales will took place at the beginning of the month to take advantage of the demand for daffodils on St David's Day.

Great Daffodil Appeal Manager Susie Fothergill said:

"Everything is falling into place to make this the Great Daffodil Appeal 2005 the best ever - but we still need every volunteer we can get.

"If you haven't offered to help, you might be interested to know that average amount in a daffodil collector's tin in March is 107! So just two hours of your time will make a real difference to cancer patients. It's never too late to volunteer.

"Even if you can't help collect there are lots of opportunities to get involved. We need co-ordinators and people behind the scenes, as well as people to collect in boxes from businesses."
