Cath Kidston’s new limited edition bags
Cath’s beautiful new range of collectable and reusable eco-shopping bags – designed especially to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care – will be sold exclusively in larger Tesco stores from July.
The bags are made entirely from recycled plastic, and cost £3.50, with 50p from each purchase going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The first two designs of the collection – the ‘multi floral fashion’ print and the ‘classic blue spot’ print – will be launched in July. Four more classic prints will hit the shelves over the following six months.
And it is not only Marie Curie Cancer Care that benefits. Tesco hopes the eco-shopping bags will reduce consumer demand for single-use plastic bags, helping to protect the environment.
As Tesco Charity of the Year, Marie Curie Cancer Care is also the focus of all Tesco staff fundraising during 2008.
“Through our partnership, ‘Providing more nursing care at home’, Tesco and Marie Curie Cancer Care hope to raise £2.5million,” says Marie Curie Cancer Care PR Executive Sean Carroll .
“This will fund an additional 125,000 hours of nursing care for patients and their families. All Tesco stores will be fundraising throughout 2008 – and we hope people get involved and help them meet their target.”
