New web pages offer taste of adventure
Marie Curie Cancer Care has launched a new set of web pages to promote its overseas challenges.
The pages show show the breadth of different
experiences the charity's overseas challenges offer
They use interactive maps and streamed videos to show supporters what they can expect if they sign up for one of the charity’s overseas treks.
There are also links to a Flickr group, where supporters who have already taken part in a challenge can share their memories and stay in touch with friends.
Amongst the challenges on offer are the chance to help refurbish a school in Tanzania’s Rift Valley, following Peru’s Inca trail to the lost city of Machu Picchu, or nine days’ trekking along the Great Wall of China.
Web Producer Chris Gornell said: “We wanted to find the best way possible to show the breadth of different experiences the overseas challenges offer.
“The pages have been designed and developed in-house, and so far feedback has been very positive.
“I’m almost inspired to take part in one myself.”
