Charity says plants a million

Marie Curie Cancer Care is encouraging people to help plant a million daffodil bulbs across the UK.

The campaign is being supported by a new area on
the charity's website

Supporters can take part in a planting day at their local Field of Hope or request a planting kit for their youth group. Children between three and 11 can also take part in the Mini Pots of Care scheme.

The campaign is being supported by a new area on the charity’s website, which lets users plant a virtual daffodil in memory of a loved one.

A real daffodil bulb will be planted for every virtual daffodil placed on the site.

Fundraising Marketing and Development Manager Caroline Ely said: “We hope everyone will get behind our campaign to help plant a million bulbs.

“Not only does it brighten up local communities, but we hope every daffodil planted will be sponsored and raise vital funds for our Marie Curie Nursing Service.”
