The awards recognise the individuals and teams who deliver health services in Scotland.
The first contracted Marie Curie Senior Healthcare Assistant within the Argyll and Bute Community Health Partnership, Anne often completes 150 mile round trips, including ferry crossings and bed and breakfast stays, to care for patients in their own homes.
Anne said: "I am delighted and surprised to be announced as the winner of the Community Care Award.
“It was a great evening and a great honour to be representing Marie Curie Cancer Care amongst so many outstanding employees from the NHS and other great organisations.
“I love my job, and seeing the difference that we can make to people who are at the end of their lives, by allowing them the peace and comfort to be able to die in their own homes.”
Argyll and Bute Area Nursing Service Manager for Marie Curie Cancer Care Lynne Millar said: “While many of our nurses and healthcare assistants go the extra mile, Anne stands out in her incredible commitment by travelling to the remotest places to provide a high standard of care to patients at the end of their lives.
“We are delighted that she has been recognised through this national healthcare award.”
