Tesco launch cash point promotion

Tesco has launched a new promotion to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care on all cash point machines at Tesco stores.

The scheme is free to customers

For every transaction made on a cash machine at Tesco between June 26 and February 2009, Tesco Personal Finance will make a donation to the charity.

This includes withdrawing cash, checking balances, ordering statements or changing PIN numbers.

The scheme is free to customers* - they will trigger the donation but it will not be taken from their accounts. It is hoped the promotion will raise over £30,000.

Marie Curie Cancer Care PR Executive Seán Carroll said: “This is just one of the many ways in which Tesco are supporting us as part of our Charity of the Year Partnership.

“This promotion means that just by using cash points at Tesco stores, customers will be contributing to the charity at absolutely no cost to themselves.”
