Vanessa Redgrave supports Raisa Gorbachev Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care
Vanessa Redgrave is supporting The Raisa Gorbachev Foundation and its partner charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care by recording a voice over for a film to be shown at a major fundraising event at Stud House, Hampton Court on Saturday June 6.

In 2008, the Foundation donated almost £1 million to Marie Curie.
This year the event organisers hope to raise a considerable sum which will fund the charity’s bereavement counselling to children and young people and allow The Russian Oncology Institute in Moscow and the Raisa Gorbachev Institute in St Petersburg to treat hundreds of children whose families cannot afford medical care.
The event will include a live auction at which guests can bid for a range of exclusive lots such as:
- dinner with Mikhail Gorbachev
- a work by Damian Hurst
- a portrait by Sam Taylor Wood
- a Fiat Cinquecento painted by Peter Blake
- ...and a lap dance by David Walliams
Guests will include JK Rowling, Boris Johnson, Emma Watson and Mark Ronson.
