Reports and accounts

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a registered charity and relies on the generosity of the public to fund its services.

The charity’s Impact Report and Report & Accounts for 2008/09 show how Marie Curie has raised and spent funds over the financial year, and how the charity is making a difference for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses.

In particular, the reports outline how the charity has continued to expand its nursing and hospice care, and is now on target to double the size of its nursing service by 2013.

There is also detailed financial reporting, showing how the charity has continued to sustain its success in tough economic conditions.

Every year we publish an annual quality of care report. This year sees the first publication of our Quality Accounts which follows a format set out by the Department of Health. It is an opportunity to highlight the achievements and areas for improvement of the Caring Services in the previous year and to set challenges and goals for the next year.
