Through our network of Marie Curie Nurses and healthcare professionals, Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free high quality end of life care to people with terminal cancer and other illness, either in their own homes or in one of our nine hospices across the UK.
Marie Curie Nurses work through the night or during the day to provide care for patients in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home. They also provide practical and emotional support for carers and families.
Marie Curie Hospices offer specialist support in a relaxed, friendly and comfortable environment and no charge is ever made to patients or their families.
Last year we provided care to more than 31,000 patients.
We also carry out research to increase our knowledge and understanding ways to improve the care that patients receive at the end of life.
