The law and your fundraising activities

Marie Curie Cancer Care is governed by charity law and company law. Your Fundraising Group must ensure that your activities comply with these laws.

Some areas of legislation are complicated and differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland so speak to your Community Fundraiser if you have any questions.

Be sure to read the 'Keeping your fundraising safe and legal’ chapter from the handbook for full information on laws about:

• using the charity’s registered name and number
