Join us for our sponsored 10k walk at Margam Park this summer and raise money to help our Marie Curie Nurses continue providing care for terminally ill patients in your area.
Following the success of last year’s Walk Ten at Margam Park, which saw over 270 walkers help to reach the £436,000 that Walk Ten 2011 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care, we are delighted to announce another stunning walk in South Wales.
Enjoy this unique opportunity to see the sun setting over the Welsh countryside as you walk from the Gothic Castle through farmlands and woodland trails towards the Pulpit viewpoint with magnificent views.
The walk takes you past the Iron Age Hill Fort, Margam Abbey Church, the Orangery - and its beautiful gardens, and back to the Castle.
Ensure you pack your picnic basket and then sit back and join in our festival-like atmosphere as we gather to celebrate the work of your local Marie Curie Nurses with live music and family entertainment.
The evening will end with celebrations to mark the time Marie Curie Nurses begin their night shifts – to remember the fantastic work they do in caring for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses.
Online registration for this event is now open and priced at £10. You will also be able to register for this Walk Ten event on the night. On the night registration is priced at £20.
