Clarity about what we do

Three Marie Curie Nurses discuss some of the misconceptions they come across during their work.

Lorna explains that one common myth is that people think Marie Curie Nurses need somewhere to sleep during home visits.

She says: "Marie Curie Nurses don’t sleep. We arrive at the house refreshed and alert so that we can take care of the patient to allow you to sleep."

Senior Healthcare Assistant Franky says it’s not a 'one size fits all' service.

"There is no prescriptive way of doing it. It is not something you can learn from a textbook," she says.
