Marie Curie Nurses Lorna, Catherine and Franky discuss why they enjoy helping patients and carers and explain the qualities they think are needed for the job.
Lorna says: "I think a Marie Curie Nurse has to be someone who genuinely cares and loves the job they do."
She says the most enjoyable aspect of her job is knowing she has done something to improve a patient’s day.
Meanwhile Catherine, who works in the South West, says: "I find it is the most special kind of nursing I have ever done. It is a tremendous privilege to care for people at the end of their lives and give them a choice about how and where they spend their final days."
