Marie Curie Helpers are trained volunteers who provide company and support to people with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers to help them to cope better and with more confidence.
Marie Curie Helpers visit people in their homes, offering a few hours of their time each week to provide:
Families who request our service can rely on a dedicated volunteer for weekly home visits or phone conversations and support for a few months after bereavement.
Volunteers for our service undergo a rigorous selection process and training, and receive ongoing supervision and support from their local service manager.
Our service is completely free of charge and currently offered in East London, Bristol, Somerset, North Somerset, Nottingham and Liverpool.
