Bike the Baltic 2008 – How it works

Bike the Baltic begins in Warsaw on August 16, 2008 and ends in St Petersburg on September 14, 2008

What to take on a cycling challenge

Below is a checklist of just some of the other personal items you will need during your challenge. Additional items will be recommended by your event organiser.

Checklist

There are four routes, each lasting one week and you can choose to take on one or more adjoining routes.

All the routes start and finish on different dates and in four Baltic States, so you have the opportunity to choose the one that best suites you, or get a team together and tackle the full course as a relay.

How much does it cost to register?

It costs just £250 to register, and even if you choose more than one route, you'll only pay one registration fee.

How much do I need to raise?

  1. It costs the charity on average £1,500 per person and we ask all participants to raise £2,500 in sponsorship, or £3,000 on route four.
  2. This might seem like a huge target now, but you'll have plenty of time to fundraise and we'll support you every step of the way.
  3. 80% of your monies needs to be with us 10 weeks prior to your depature date, this is explained more in the regisration pack.

Where does my money go?

  1. The money you raise helps us provide more care and support to terminally ill cancer patients across the UK.
  2. Find out more information about exactly how your support make a difference and makes it possible for us to continue providing this care.

Who can take part?

  1. Anyone can take part, provided they are over 16.
  2. The four routes have been planned to offer varying degrees of difficulty, so there is something for everyone whether they are a beginner or a cycling enthusiast.
  3. We’ll even provide the bike.
