Where your money goes
It costs the charity approximately £750 per participant and we ask everyone to raise a minimum of £1,325 in sponsorship.
All the money you raise will go towards providing care and support for more terminally ill cancer patients around the UK.
Some fundraising tips
- Think about the people you know and the connections you have at home, work, friends and family. They can support and help organise your events.
- Don’t leave it all to the last minute.
- Check dates – try not to plan your fundraising activities around other major national/local events. Remember to take advantage of dates and seasons like Christmas or Easter.
- Don’t be afraid to ask – nothing ventured, nothing gained. Carry your sponsorship form every where you go, once people know you're taking part in the charity cycle challenge the donations will come flooding in.
- To make it easier to keep track of your donations and fundraising why not do it all online.
Other fundraising ideas
Sponsored by kilometre
The conventional way of fundraising is asking people to sponsor you per kilometre for the cycle ride. However there are more fun ways to encourage people to dip into their pocket.
Sports match
Have a knockout cricket, netball, football contest and get people to pay to join a team. Charge admission to all your spectators and sell refreshments.
Quiz night
Gather your friends and family at the pub/club or office with prizes for the best team, most inventive answer etc.
Karaoke evening
Ask a local pub to host one for you and charge people to play.
Race night
Hold a video race night in aid of the charity.
