Nigel Risby, Accounts Director of Spellman Walker said:

“The staff here at Spellman Walker relish the Three Peaks Challenge.

"Not only do we see it as a great way to help raise money for Marie Curie, but is also pushes us mentally and physically and creates a real team spirit.

"This has been our fourth consecutive success and we are already in training for 2007."

Staff at Beale and Company Solicitors LLP took part in the Ben Nevis mountain trek.

"On a rainy February afternoon the staff at Beale and Company Solicitors LLP were looking to take part in a challenge for charity. We were all agreed that Marie Curie was a great cause so before we knew it 9 of us had signed up to climb Ben Nevis. We even had a team name: Beale’s Buns of Steel!

"For the three months prior to the trek the team set about organising various fundraising events including a games evening, a grand national sweepstake and a cake sale.

"The day of the challenge itself was truly an experience. There was not only a sense of elation for all of us having made it up and down the mountain through the rain and snow but also a real sense of achievement having made a much needed contribution to Marie Curie."
