We're determined to ensure that everyone gets the expert end of life care and support they need, and our volunteers across the UK help us achieve this. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities on offer, so you’ll be sure to find the perfect role that matches your skills and schedule.
When you become a volunteer with us, you’ll receive training designed to help you feel confident in your new role, feel part of the Marie Curie family, and understand the vital contribution you’re making to people living with a terminal illness. You may also receive additional specialised training and guidance depending on your specific role.
I went through the volunteer training and I’ve never looked back – it’s fulfilled me in a way that I didn’t think it would. As someone who’s been recently bereaved, volunteering has helped me transform such a negative emotion of grief into something positive. It has helped me heal.
