This challenge will take you on a journey of discovery over ten miles of open moorland.

The circular route will begin in the village of Widecombe-in-the-moor and take in Hamel Down, Site of Grimspound - a well preserved Medieval Bronze Age Settlement.

Local legend will be brought to life at Jays Grave where you’ll hear the sad tale of Kitty Jay and the mystery mourner who ensures fresh flowers are placed at her graveside.

You’ll have opportunities to savour the spectacular moorland scenery including the aptly named Bowerman’s Nose and Hound Tor, medieval ruins and, of course, the famous Dartmoor Ponies.

On your return to Widecombe-in-the-moor what better way to celebrate completing your challenge than a well deserved Devon cream tea?
