Knit a tea cosy

Knit a Tea Cosy

Marie Curie Cancer Care and Simply Knitting and The Knitter Magazine have joined forces to promote our fantastic fundraising 'Knit a Tea Cosy' campaign inspired by the Blooming Great Tea Party. There are a variety of ways that you can get involved and get knitting to support us.

Tea Cosy Knitting Competition

Hand knit or crochet a tea cosy; the design should be inspired by the Blooming Great Tea Party, which asks people to get together and host a tea party anytime from June 12 to July 12 to help raise funds for the charity. The tea party theme will enable you to get really creative... anything from cup cakes to tea party guests!

The experts at Simply Knitting Magazine have provided two basic tea cosy patterns (one knit, one crochet) as a guide for your design. These should fit a standard six cup tea pot. You can either adapt the basic patterns provided, or design your own from scratch if you prefer.
