This donation was made on behalf of the Synagogue's annual Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Appeal, following a talk from one of the Marie Curie Cancer Care Community Fundraising Managers, and an address from the Chairman to ask people to give generously for the collection.

This is a marvellous donation from a Synagogue which is already very active in its fundraising. The Synagogue's Religion School supports a charity every term, and has recently given generously to the Tsunami Appeal.
