The Leigh on Sea Army Cadets
Get outdoors for Cancer Care: this wonderful group of Army Cadets have been a fantastic support to the charity over the past two years.
Each March, they commit to collecting for the annual Great Daffodil Appeal and co-ordinating collection sites as well as taking part in other exciting fundraising events throughout the year.
The Army Cadets helped to make their local Devoted to Life Walk a huge success by marshalling support and making it one to remember. The route took them along the sea front, where they were joined by the residents of a local nursing home, who took part in their wheelchairs, aided and monitored by the Cadets themselves.
Hannah Chapman, Marie Curie Cancer Care Community Fundraising Manager for Hertfordshire and South Essex, praised the professionalism of her Cadets on the day, describing how they even used a walky-talky system to communicate with participants along the way.
This wonderful group have been and continue to be invaluable and loyal supporters – a huge thanks to everyone at Leigh-on-Sea Army Cadets!
