Highest amount ever raised in local supermarket: The Widnes Air Cadets did an absolutely fantastic job for Marie Curie Cancer Care in 2004, raising an amazing £1,444.68, by packing bags at their local Morrisons store.
According to Stephen Tongue, Community Fundraising Manager for South Lancashire and North West Cheshire, this was the highest amount ever raised in a local supermarket.
Thank you certificates were issued to all the Cadets, in recognition of their hard work on behalf of the charity.
