How your support helps Marie Curie Cancer Care
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing care and emotional support, completely free of charge, to thousands of cancer patients and their families across the UK
Special Care
This year we will care for around 25,000 terminally ill patients in their homes and in our Marie Curie Hospices.
By supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care, you make it possible for this special care to continue, giving even more families the choice and dignity they deserve.
What your money buys
The list below gives an indication of how a donation can help Marie Curie Cancer and how much is needed to fund our core services;
- £5 buys an activity pack for children visiting relatives in one of our 10 hospices;
- £20 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse for one hour in a patient's home;
- £125 would pay for attendance at a Day Therapy unit for one day in a Marie Curie hospice;
- £750 pays for a syringe driver;
- £2,400 will cover the cost of Marie Curie Cancer Care's nationwide nursing service for one hour;
- £7,000 is what we spend every hour of every day directly on our nursing, hospices and research.
