Marie Curie Cancer Care is a charity. We ask people to give us money so we can give help to the people who need us.
Different charities give different sorts of help to different people. At Marie Curie Cancer Care we help people who have cancer. This is a serious disease and the people who have it need all the help we can give.
Marie Curie Cancer Care sends nurses to the homes of people who have cancer to care for them. This means that they don't have to go to hospital and can stay comfortably in their own houses.
To pay all these nurses takes a lot of money and many people, kids too, help us raise the money we need by doing things like sponsored swims or planting bulbs and much, much more.
