Key Stage 1
English Daffodil word search - Pupils will complete a word search puzzle filled with daffodil and home related words. They will look up the words in a dictionary before having a class discussion about their meanings.
Art and Design Parts of a daffodil - pupils will work in groups observing a daffodil using magnifying glasses. They will then make their own daffodil. Daffodil dot to dot - pupils will practise counting by completing the dot to dot puzzle and will complete basic addition and subtraction word problems. Once they have completed the problems they can turn their dot to dot into a work of art.
Daffodil Magnets - Pupils create their own daffodil magnets Diamond display - Pupils create the perfect diamong using a ruler, wool and coloured pens Still Life - Pupils draw flowers in their natural environment from observation. Blooming all year round - pupils will create their very own daffodil that will last through every season, whatever the weather!
Science Parts of a daffodil - pupils will work in groups observing a daffodil using magnifying glasses. They will then make their own daffodil. How will my daffodil grow? - An opportunity for pupils to consider what conditions are required for the growth of plants by conducting experiments with seeds. Pupils will use the outcomes to provide an outline for caring for their Mini Pot of Care.
A spring walk - Daffodils are a spring flower. Pupils will go on a spring walk to observe their surroundings and hopefully see daffodils like their Mini Pot of Care. They will then return to the classroom to draw a storyboard of their observations.

PE Grow like a daffodil - Pupils will work independently and become a daffodil. They will think about how a daffodil grows, moves and what happens when it is in bloom. Geography African Maps - Pupils learn to identify and understand the geography of the African continent.
