You could help:
In our shops
Donate your people skills or even your passion for fashion by helping out in your local Marie Curie Shop. You could be doing anything from:
- serving customers
- sorting and pricing goods
- arranging attractive window displays
- arranging merchandise
In our hospices
From volunteer driver to complementary therapist, there are a range of roles to suit your skills.
In our offices
Not only can you get direct work experience, we’ll even provide training and support where needed. There are opportunities to suit all skills and aspirations, from dealing with telephone enquiries and updating database records, to marketing our fundraising events and writing press releases.
Help us fundraise
Join our dedicated band of fundraisers. You can either dip in and out every now and then, or volunteer on a regular basis to become a dedicated Marie Curie champion.
From distributing posters and leaflets to joining or forming a fundraising group, here are a few examples of what you can do:
On a regular basis
Collection Box Co-ordinator
Look after the collection boxes in your local area - distribute them in local shops, collect them afterwards, count and bank the donations.
Henry Bear assemblies
Help us deliver our healthier lifestyle assemblies in your local schools. Full training will be provided.
Set up or join a local fundraising group
Got a good network of friends and contacts in your community? Are you a member of a local group or club? You could set up your own group and help raise funds on our behalf.
Support our annual Great Daffodil Appeal
Help organise local collections or just help out for a few hours at a collection or event near you.
Every now and then
Organise your own fundraising event
Do something on your own or get together with friends and family. From coffee mornings and pub quizzes to balls, concerts and five-a-side football.
Be an event steward
Help out when you can at our organised events across the country - from sponsored walks in beautiful countryside to exciting national events such as the London Marathon.
Be a Working Wonder
Help raise awareness of Marie Curie Cancer Care's work at your workplace - handing out leaflets, putting up posters and encouraging colleagues to take part in events and appeals.
Take part in the Great Daffodil Appeal
Help us raise as much cash as possible for our March appeal by joining a local collection for a couple of hours.
