Olive is one of nine Marie Curie
Nurses in Ealing providing a free nursing service for people who want to be cared for at home at the end of their lives.
She and her colleagues have never been busier... and that's why Marie Curie Cancer Care needs to fund more local nurses like Olive. Last year, Marie Curie Nurses provided more than 5,000 hours of nursing care in Ealing - providing care for more than 90 terminally ill people.
As demand for our nursing service continues to grow, we expect these numbers to rise still further in the next 12 months. We need to raise £170,000 to provide the service, so that's why we've launched our first ever local Marie Curie Nursing Appeal.

Lights to Remember in Acton – sponsor a light in memory of a loved one on our Christmas tree at www.justgiving.com/actonlights. We will be holding a short non-religious service on Saturday December 19 at 4.30pm in the marketplace in Acton. The service is a chance for you to reflect and remember loved ones and will feature a choir, and a reading from Marie Curie Nurse, Olive Hoare, who is the face of the Ealing Nurse Appeal, we would love to see you there. Vote for the Ealing Nurse Appeal to be the chosen charity this month at Waitrose in West Ealing. When you buy something in the store you are given a green token, place this in the voting box for Marie Curie Cancer Care near the exit, the charity with the most tokens receives a donation of up to £1k.
