Nottinghamshire needs more Judiths
Judith is one of 36 Marie Curie Nurses in Nottinghamshire providing a free nursing service for people who want to be cared for at home at the end of their lives.
She and her colleagues have never been busier… and that’s why Marie Curie Cancer Care needs to fund more local nurses like Judith. Last year, Marie Curie Nurses provided more than 21,000 hours of nursing care in Nottinghamshire – providing care for more than 350 terminally ill people.
As demand for our nursing service continues to grow, we expect these numbers to rise still further in the next 12 months. We need to raise £316,000 to provide the service, so that’s why we’ve launched our first ever local Marie Curie Nursing Appeal.

Home Cooking - Local Marie Curie nurses, volunteers and supporters were invited to submit their favourite recipe along with a special story or memory associated with it. The result is “Home Cooking” a book with over 100 tried and tested recipes and special stories. The cook book is £6 and is available by contacting the local fundraising office on 0115 938 2626. Peak District Walk – Sunday April 25, 2010. This sponsored circular walk climbs the magnificent Iron Age settlement of Mam Tor. Participants can choose either an 8 mile or 10 mile route. Contact the fundraising office on 0115 938 2626 for more details.
