Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of the participating charities in a selection of gift services found at www.giveit.co.uk. The services put an end to receiving yet more kettles, unwanted bathrobes and inappropriate socks by allowing gift-givers, at the request of the recipient, to donate to charity instead.
Other ideas - Celebration giving
Celebration giving is a positive and unique way to support Marie Curie Cancer Care. Instead of receiving presents at your event you could ask guests to make a donation to the charity.
We have two styles of donation envelope available, one designed for general celebrations such as birthdays or anniversaries and one specifically for weddings.
Perhaps you could give our Marie Curie Cancer Care daffodil pins to your guests instead of wedding favours, or use them instead of carnations in buttonholes.

What your donation will mean
Your donations to Marie Curie Cancer Care could cover the cost of the following:
- An hour's worth of home nursing (£20)
- A slide sheet, used by Marie Curie Nurses to move patients in bed (£30)
- A counselling session (£45)
- Half-a-day's attendance at a Day Therapy Unit (£50)
- Supporting a team of Marie Curie Cancer Care scientists for one hour (£100)
- Training for a Marie Curie Nurse to complete one module of the BSc (Hons) Degree in Cancer and Palliative Care (£180)
The alternative gift list enables family and friends to make donations that change lives. Whatever the occasion, why not consider an alternative gift list this year?
