This list is not exhaustive - we want You to bring something special to your workplace.
Once you register as a Working Wonder, we will provide you with further details on ideas for fundraising.
Tell everyone about us
Spread the word to your colleagues about our fundraising, through word of mouth, posters and leaflets, intranet, email or your staff magazine.
You can also act as an information point in your workplace. We'll tell you everything you need to know about what we do. There's also plenty of information on the main Marie Curie Cancer Care website, so that you'll be able to help anyone who wants to find out more about us.
Collection boxes
Place one of our collection boxes in your reception, canteen or meeting room, and encourage people to donate their spare change.
Guess the name of the bear
Hold a raffle and guess the name of the bear. We'll provide the bear and the sheets you will need.
Sponsored slim
This one's for both the ladies and the gents hoping to shed those extra pounds! Sponsorship can provide some real motivation.
Baby photos
Encourage your colleagues to bring in their baby photos and hold a ‘Guess Who's Who?'event.
Beard dye and leg wax
This one's for the guys, and always good for a laugh.
Recycling
Your unwanted mobile phones, toners and empty printer cartridges can be turned into cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Our Recycling Appeal will provide you with freepost recycling bags or collection boxes.
Coins and stamps
We can turn your unwanted pennies and Euros into valuable funds. Get your colleagues to ask their friends and families to gather their leftover funds, as well as any old stamps.
Workplace collection
Encourage your colleagues to bring in any unwanted clothes or toys or general stock and donate them to you nearest Marie Curie Cancer Care shop.
Cakes and biscuits
Organise a bake sale at your workplace by getting some of your colleagues to bring in their own cakes and cookies to sell for elevenses.
Dress down
Hold a Dress Down Day and charge colleagues a fee to come to work in their own clothing.
Great Daffodil Appeal
Be a part of our biggest fundraising event, the Great Daffodil Appeal, in March. Mobilise your colleagues to help with our street collection taking place across the country. Do you, or someone you know, have a secret musical talent? If you are a singer or part of a band, why not come along to one of our street collections and provide the music?
