Hours of duty
Marie Curie Nurses provide care for a minimum of three hours and generally for a full shift of eight to ten hours.
They usually visit overnight, but sometimes work during the day. In consultation with the patient and family, the district nurse will determine what hours of care are appropriate.
A night shift is usually from 10.00 pm to 7.00 am but it may be possible to negotiate adjusted times through your district nurse.
