There are only two weeks left to submit a research abstract for the Marie Curie Annual Palliative Care Research Conference.

The conference, held jointly with the Palliative Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, focuses on the Future of Palliative Care and will be held on Friday 27 March 2015 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London. Delegates will hear from experts who are at the forefront of shaping the future of palliative care.

Abstracts for short presentations and/or posters on research in palliative and end of life care are invited. Whilst abstracts relevant to the future of palliative care are more likely to be chosen for oral presentation, submissions on any subject in palliative and end of life care are welcomed.

How to submit

For more information on how to submit an abstract visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/researchconference.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically by 5pm on Friday 5 December 2014 to jennifer.tuft@mariecurie.org.uk.

A record number of abstracts were submitted to the last research conference – 68 in total. These covered topics on complementary therapies, advanced dementia, out-of-hours palliative care, supporting patients and their families and training volunteers. This demonstrates that there is a wealth of exciting new research going on in palliative care.
