Five ways to support The Great Daffodil Appeal

This year we’ve teamed up with some great partners to bring you some exclusive ways to support The Great Daffodil Appeal. From buying bright blooms to snapping up a sassy shopping bag, here are five things you can do this month to help our nurses care for more people with terminal illnesses.

Donate and wear a daffodil

Daffodil pins are the most well-known symbol of The Great Daffodil Appeal so by wearing one you help spread the word about the work we do. Keep an eye out for volunteer collectors, or for boxes of daffodils on the counters of shops, banks and local businesses. Last year our appeal raised a record £7m and this year we’d like to do even better. So, when you spot our daffodils please show your support by donating and wearing one.

Bag a shopper

Smaller EB bagYou can shop and support Marie Curie at the same time with this specially-designed jute bag from Emma Bridgewater. The spotted shoppers are on sale at Tesco for £3, and 50p from each sale will be donated to the charity. Emma Bridgewater is also donating 50p to Marie Curie for every Half Pint Mug it sells in March.

Snap up some daffs

If you’re planning to buy some fresh flowers in March, then why not pick up a bunch of daffodils at Tesco? Each specially-marked bunch costs £2, and 20p of that will be donated to Marie Curie. This is thanks to Winchester Growers, who have helped us raise £150,000 since becoming a partner.

Pick up a pot

Over 130 centres across England and Wales belong to the group, including Blooms, Bridgemere, Country Gardens, Woodlands and Wyevale. Find your nearest here.

Donate online

Donations made via our website are a vital part of The Great Daffodil Appeal. It’s a secure and convenient way to support us, and donations are eligible for Gift Aid, which will increase the value of your contribution. Choose from a pre-set amount, or enter your own, and please select the Gift Aid option if you can.

However you choose to support The Great Daffodil Appeal this month, we would like to say a great big thank you.
