Oh, what a night: UK lights up for the Great Daffodil Appeal
From the southwest to the northeast corners of the country, landmarks across the UK were bathed in a yellow glow on Tuesday night for the Great Daffodil Appeal. Inverness got the yellow treatment with lights shining from Inverness Castle and Cathedral on to Ness Bridge.
A few of us who were in London walked around to see the lights on the London Eye and Trafalgar Square, ending up in Piccadilly Circus to watch the famous big screens turn yellow.
As you can hear from the video, we’re all very excited to have had such a spectacular and beautiful opportunity to spread the word about the appeal and raise awareness about the amazing work of our Marie Curie Nurses. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. See more photos below or visit our Facebook page.
