We have a whole host of overseas events which will push you to the edge, but perhaps none more so than conquering Africa’s tallest mountain – our Kilimanjaro trek. This ten-day event includes six days' trekking, joining 30 others in search of the mountain’s peak.
"Tackling Mount Kilimanjaro was one of the most physically challenging and yet one most rewarding adventures of my life. From the moment I signed up the team at Marie Curie were at hand to answer any of my questions like how much can I pack, what will we be eating and most importantly where do we go to the loo!

This trek takes you off the beaten track as you experience a range of fantastic sights, including the soaring peaks of the Andes, the mystical ruins of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will also go deep into the wilderness and explore Peru’s ancient medieval mountain villages. The route is widely considered to be the best way to experience this beautiful country. Find out more
Nicaragua to Costa Rica Cycle

This unforgettable 390km bike challenge is an adventurous and exciting way to see the best of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, an experience not to be missed. The route takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Central America, riding past smoking volcanoes, pristine beaches and around national parks. The first three days will see you pedal through Nicaragua taking in views of Lake Nicaragua and white sandy beaches before crossing over into Costa Rica for your last two days of challenging biking as you cycle around one of Costa Rica's most active volcano's – the Arenal.
