About the Garden of Light, Paternoster Square

To mark the launch of the Great Daffodil Appeal 2018, we created a garden of 4,000 illuminated daffodils. The garden was displayed in Paternoster Square, London from Thursday 1 to Sunday 11 March 2018.

The 4,000 daffodils in the garden represented all the people Marie Curie supported in March 2018 - whether that was through nursing or hospice care, or information and support.

We asked visitors to take a moment to explore the garden. It was a place to reflect – on life, love and the difference we can make together. As they walked among the flowers, visitors could listen to letters from patients' families, describing the vital care and support their relatives received from Marie Curie Nurses.

Our nurses can only be there for families living with terminal illness thanks to the support of people like you. Please show your support by donating and wearing your daffodil.
