Where we'll be over the race weekend
When it comes to the London Marathon we can’t wait to cheer you on and meet you over the race weekend. Check out our information below to make sure you know where we’ll be.
London Marathon Expo
We’ll be at the Expo all day from the Thursday to the Saturday. This is where you need to go and pick up your race number and timing chip for the big day. Once you’ve done this we’ll be at stand 183 in the main exhibition area so do pop along to see us, we’d love to wish you good luck. The expo is open at the following times:
Wednesday 19 April 11am-8pm
Thursday 20 April 10am-8pm
Friday 21 April 10am-8pm
- Saturday 22 April 9am-5pm
Please be aware, Saturday at the expo is the busiest day and there are always queues to get in, so do factor this into your plans. More information about the expo can be found on the London Marathon Expo website .
Our Marie Curie cheer points
We’ll have four dedicated Marie Curie cheer points along the route to make sure you feel extra supported as you take on this incredible challenge.
While we’ll be hard to miss as our cheer points will be covered in yellow, we’ve detailed where we will be below so you can look out for us*.
Mile 6.75 - Greenwich area - we'll be cheering you on from 10am-12.15pm
Mile 12.5 - Tower Bridge - we'll be cheering you on from 10.30am-1.30pm
Mile 18 - Docklands area - we'll be cheering you from 11am-2.45pm
Mile 24.5 - Embankment (both sides of the route) - 12pm-4.45pm
If you’ve got friends, family or colleagues coming along why not get them to come and join us at our Marie Curie cheer points, they’ll be kitted out with all things yellow plus we’ll have banger sticks and whistles to help them make as much noise as possible.
*Please note while we aim to be at these exact locations sometimes on the day this is not possible so just look out for our yellow flags and balloons which will help you spot us!
If your friends and family can’t make it along to our dedicated cheer points we can send them out some cheer materials so they have everything they need to spur you on wherever they decide to support you. If you'd like one of these please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how many supporters you have coming along and the best address for us to post these too. We’ll be sending them out on Thursday 13 April.
After the race
Our team of volunteers will be near the finishing area to meet you and direct you up to our post-race reception; we’ll even have a rickshaw to take you up there if you’re legs are feeling a bit too weary.
We’d love for you to come along to our post-race reception. It's being held at the Amba Charing Cross Hotel which is just above Charing Cross station and only a short walk from the finish line.
We will be here to welcome all runners with refreshments, a place to get changed and a well-deserved massage (which hopefully your legs will be very thankful for!). It’s a great place to come and have a rest, meet back up with your family and for us to say a huge thank you before heading home.
You’ll find us here from 12pm until 5.30pm and the address is: Amba Charing Cross Hotel, Strand, London, WC2N 5HX.
