Thank you to everyone who took part in Walk to Remember, Aberdeen for Marie Curie. We hope you enjoyed it and had a great night. Your fundraising is helping our nurses give vital care for people living with a terminal illness across the UK.
Did you reach your target? If not, there' still time - take our fundraising challenge to see how much you could raise!
Join thousands of people walking in memory of someone they love or simply come along to support Marie Curie at Walk to Remember Aberdeen.
Do your walk in pairs or groups and enjoy the evening, the memories and the walking itself with your friends and family. It’s a way of doing something great while celebrating a loved one. And at 10km long, or just over 6 miles, the walks are suitable for people of all abilities and ages, and you won’t need to spend weeks in training either.
Situated on the outskirts of Aberdeen, Hazlehead Park offers expansive woodland, beautiful rose gardens and an array of fascinating sculpture. Join us for an evening 10k walk with your friends and family, and celebrate completion of the walk by relaxing with fellow walkers to enjoy your picnic, or delicious hot food available to buy at the event.
After completing the walk, settle down and enjoy the festival-like celebrations with live music, entertainment and a fire juggling performance at 10pm. This coincides with the time many Marie Curie Nurses start their night shift, providing care to people with terminal illnesses and their families in their own homes. Whether you’re walking in memory, fundraising for us or both, we’d love you to come along.
Your £10 registration fee includes a T-shirt and entry fee to the venue. All proceeds go to Marie Curie.
Helping to provide even more care
We hope each of our walkers can raise £100. This will pay for five hours of care. You don’t need to have completed your fundraising before your walk - you can keep on raising money after and pay it in whenever you’re ready. We’ve got some resources to help you out on our Walk to Remember pages.
And remember, every additional £20 you raise will provide another hour of care so we can help more people living with a terminal illness and provide support for their families.
