Thank you to everyone who took part in Walk to Remember, Cardiff for Marie Curie. We hope you enjoyed it and had a great night. Your fundraising is helping our nurses give vital care for people living with a terminal illness across the UK.

Did you reach your target? If not, there' still time - take our fundraising challenge to see how much you could raise!

Join thousands of people walking in memory of someone they love or simply come along to support Marie Curie at Walk to Remember Cardiff.

Do your walk in pairs or groups and enjoy the evening, the memories and the walking itself with your friends and family. It’s a way of doing something great while celebrating a loved one. And at 10km long, or just over 6 miles, the walks are suitable for people of all abilities and ages, and you won’t need to spend weeks in training either.

Located at the heart of the capital, Cardiff Castle is the perfect place to enjoy a 10k evening walk. You'll walk through beautiful parklands, taking in the Castle's fairytale towers which conceal 2,000 years of history, before sitting back to enjoy your picnic, or delicious hot food available to buy at the event.

After completing the walk, settle down and enjoy the festival-like celebrations with live music, entertainment and a fire juggling performance at 10pm. This coincides with the time many Marie Curie Nurses start their night shift, providing care to people with terminal illnesses and their families in their own homes. Whether you’re walking in memory, fundraising for us or both, we’d love you to come along.

Car parking is available off site in nearby Sophia Gardens. There is also a reduced route of 5.5km which is pushchair friendly.

Your £10 registration fee includes a T-shirt and entry fee to the venue. All proceeds go to Marie Curie.

Helping to provide even more care

Scenic views in a twilight setting made it a lovely walk to do whilst thinking of others and this great cause! Will be back next year! Thank you!

We hope each of our walkers can raise £100. This will pay for five hours of care. You don’t need to have completed your fundraising before your walk - you can keep on raising money after and pay it in whenever you’re ready. We’ve got some resources to help you out on our Walk to Remember pages.

And remember, every additional £20 you raise will provide another hour of care so we can help more people living with a terminal illness and provide support for their families.

Sorry, online registration is no longer available for this event. Please contact us on events@mariecurie.org.uk or call us on 0845 052 4184.
