Marie Curie Admin VolunteerAdmin Volunteer

Being part of a busy office, our admin volunteers support teams with a range of tasks including answering the phone, updating databases and producing documents. The role will enable you to build on your IT and admin skills and give you behind-the-scenes experience at a large national charity.

Alex’s story

Alex is a volunteer in the Supporter Administration Team in Edinburgh. He was looking for a role to gain experience while at university.

Alex says, “I get involved in a variety of tasks from handling income from our supporters to updating supporter information on our database. I enjoy working in the team – everyone is really friendly and I have learned a great deal”.

Project Assistant

Marie Curie manages all kinds of projects – big and small, short and long term – and Project Assistants support our teams with the planning, implementation and evaluation of these projects. There’ll be lots to do and you’ll need to have good organisational skills and enjoy working in a team.

Fundraising Project Coordinator

Working with local fundraising teams, Project Coordinators play a key role in supporting the organisation of our high-profile fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal, Swimathon and the Blooming Great Tea Party. Getting involved in planning, promotion and recruitment, you’ll gain first-hand experience of a major national campaign from start to finish.
