Mount Vernon Golf Club - 8 June 2016

The Mount Vernon Golf Club is generously sponsoring the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh on 8 June 2016. Here's why the club as chosen to support us:

"After 18 holes of golf whilst sitting in the club house at Liberton Golf Club the four of us, Bob, Billy, Colin & myself, Hugh, got around to talking about our individual experiences with the Marie Curie Hospice, Edinburgh. Each of us lost a parent to cancer and spoke from the heart of our thanks and debt we owed for the care and attention our loved ones received at the hospice.

"That conversation was the catalyst for us to start fundraising on behalf of Edinburgh hospice; that was 11 years ago and since then the four of us, with help from friends, have raised over £69,000 organising our annual Sportsman's Breakfast and recently added Charity Golf Day.

"We are all members of a club within Liberton G.C. called Mount Vernon Golf Club that fully supports us on all our fundraising events. Mount Vernon was formed on the 8 June 1992 and hence we would like our dedicated day to be 8 June."
