Glasgow East Marie Curie fundraising group
The local group of volunteers from the East of Glasgow have raised enough money to pay for two days of care at the Marie Curie Hospice, Glasgow. The group have been raising money since its formation one year ago.
The group set out to raise enough to fund the hospice for one day and have been so successful that they doubled their initial target.
They chose the to fund the hospice on the 9 and 10 July to mark the 1st Anniversary of the group's formation. The funds were raised by managing various collections in their area, being local representatives at events and cheque presentations and by looking after the many collections tins that are in stores.
