What’s it all about?
The Blooming Great Tea Party invites amazing supporters like you to throw their own tea parties in aid of Marie Curie.
Every tea party is important – however large or small, anyone can join in. Tea party hosts can invite their friends, family or colleagues to join them for tea and cakes, and collect donations during the event.
You could even hold a tea party in a shared public space, such as your local school and make it an event for the whole community to attend and enjoy.
When will the 2018 Blooming Great Tea Party take place?
You can hold your tea party whenever you like, but we’ll announce the official tea party weekend for 2018 soon. Keep an eye on this page for updates
Need to pay in your 2017 tea party funds? There’s still time! There are a couple of ways you can pay in the money you’ve raised.
To pay in your money by post, you can write a cheque/postal order (made payable to Marie Curie) and send it along with the donation form that’s included in your fundraising pack.
Alternatively you can complete the form on the donation form, including credit/debit card details. Use the freepost self-addressed envelope provided in the pack, or send to:

Frequently asked questions
When will my pack arrive?
We'll send you your fundraising pack for the Blooming Great Tea Party 2018 in the spring.
If you have any questions, please contact our tea party team at email@example.com or on 0800 716 146.
How do I raise money?
There’s lots of ways to raise some extra dough; you could hold a raffle, organise a baking competition or have a garden games tournament complete with egg and spoon race – just ask your friends and family to donate to take part.
Can I host a tea party at work?
Of course – we’d love you to! Simply sign up for your free fundraising pack and plan your tea party with your workplace in mind – whether that’s turning your tea-break into a tea party or selling slices of cake between meetings. Perhaps you can get the boss on board, or enquire whether your workplace could match the amount of money you raise at your tea party.
Can I ask guests to text to donate?
Your tea party guests can choose to donate via text. Once you have your text-to-donate number (which will be sent to you before your tea party begins), write it on the table-top tent card and poster enclosed in your pack so your guests can see it.
Anyone donating via text will be charged £5 donation plus the price of one message at their standard network rate. 98% of the donation will be received by Marie Curie.
