How to get a nurse
If you or someone you know may benefit from the care of a Marie Curie Nurse, you need to contact your GP or District Nurse (sometimes called the Community Nurse).
The District Nurse is the person who co-ordinates the patient's care at home and decides whether a Marie Curie Home Nurse is right for you.
Your GP's surgery can tell you who your local District Nurse is and how to contact them.
We do our utmost to fulfil every request for a home nurse. However, there may be occasions when no Marie Curie Nurse is available for a requested shift in a specific location.
Download the Introduction to the Marie Curie Nursing Service leaflet (pdf 289 KB) to find out about the service and how to get a Marie Curie Nurse.
