Before your run - Marie Curie Bag Drop
Skip the race-day queues and take advantage of Team Marie Curie's exclusive bag drop service, available just for our runners.
From 8:00am to 4:00pm, you'll be able to leave your belongings securely at the Leonardo Hotel Cardiff, where a member of the Marie Curie team will be on hand throughout the day to look after your items. It's a great way to avoid the busy public bag drop facilities and enjoy a smoother, stress-free start to your race day.
After you've crossed the finish line, simply return to collect your belongings and join us at our post-race celebration, where you can relax, refuel and celebrate your incredible achievement alongside fellow Team Marie Curie runners, volunteers and staff.

Our Team Marie Curie cheer point
We'll be there to cheer you on along the route when it comes to race day.
We hope we'll be hard to miss, so look out for us around mile 7. Our cheerers will hopefully spur you on with just under half the race to go!
If your friends and family would like to join us please do encourage them to do so, we have plenty of space at the cheer point where they will be able to cheer you on as you run past.
The cheer point will be located on Lloyd George Avenue just outside the Edward England Wharf. Please see the route map below. The Marie Curie cheer point is marked with a yellow star.

We will be there from 10am until 2:00pm.
If you've got iron-on letters, please do iron your name onto the front of your vest so we can cheer your name as you run past us!
After the run: Post-race Celebration
We will have a post-race reception at the Leonardo Hotel on Marathon Day. A space where you can recover and relax after you've finished and celebrate with friends, family and the rest of #TeamMarieCurie.

There will be light refreshments and nibbles, team and coffee, and a chance to mingle with Marie Curie staff, volunteers and friends, family and other Marie Curie Runners. Together we're changing lives and we'd love to celebrate your amazing achievement with you!
We will also have a media wall set up ready for our professional photographer to take pictures of you, your medal, and your loved ones, which we'll send to runners in the folowing week.
The closest station is Cardiff Queen Street Station, just a one-minute walk away and the nearest bus stop is on Greyfriars Road, just two minutes away. For more detailed directions use the what3words location: 'flag.silly.fact'.

After you've crossed the finish line, come and celebrate with us at our post-race reception in the Leonardo Hotel. Look out for our yellow Marie Curie flags, where you'll find refreshments and a warm welcome waiting for you. A former Team Marie Curie London Marathon runner will also be there, offering simple braided hairstyles for a small donation to Marie Curie. It's a great meeting point for runners, friends and family, so be sure to spread the word and invite your supporters along too.
