At Marie Curie Bradford, spiritual care is overseen by two part time chaplains who work alongside our social workers within the patient and family support team.
Serious illness doesn’t just affect the body – it can affect your whole outlook. It can make you reflect on life and the meaning of everything, or start thinking about the past. You might feel isolated, even if you’re well supported. Our chaplains are here to talk and listen – whether you follow a faith tradition or not.
What we offer:
- Support for you and your family from a hospice chaplain
- Prayer books and religious texts from various faith traditions
- Prayer room with washing facilities
- The option for members of your own faith group to visit the hospice.
Our multi-faith chapel area
The chapel area is a quiet space. It’s available to all. You’re welcome to sit, reflect, or light a candle and remember a loved one.
The chapel is also available for services and personal celebrations.
Meet our chaplains, Keith and Nick
Together we share a full time role at the Bradford hospice as chaplains, overseeing the provision of spiritual care within the hospice for patients, families, carers, staff and volunteers.
You have the opportunity to meet with us either formally by appointment or informally by asking any member of the hospice team.
We are here for specific religious or spiritual support, or just to be available to explore whatever challenges or issues may arise out of the circumstances you find yourself in.
