Director of Policy and Public Affairs
Simon is currently our Director of Policy and Public Affairs and was previously responsible for leading the charity’s policy and public affairs work in Wales.
Simon was a member of the Charity Commission Board for five years until 2012. He chaired the commission which reviewed the National Assembly for Wales’ Voluntary Sector Scheme and was a member of the Council of Cardiff University.
Head of Policy & Public Affairs, England
Scott leads on the charity’s Parliamentary engagement.
He has previously worked for the Department for Constitutional Affairs, the Department of Health, and in corporate PR.
Policy Manager, England
Rick is the Policy Manager for England.
Rick joined Marie Curie in July 2017, having worked in research and policy roles at several third sector organisations.
Policy and Public Affairs Officer, England
Kate is Marie Curie’s Policy and Public Affairs Officer for England.
Kate has previously worked for other third sector organisations, and joined Marie Curie in 2015 from a public affairs consultancy.
Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Scotland
Richard is responsible for leading the charity’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland.
This includes representing the work of the charity to the Scottish Parliament and Government as well as campaigning to ensure that terminally ill patients and their families get the best possible care and support they need, wherever they are.
Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Scotland
Susan is Policy and Public Affairs Manager for Scotland.
Susan joined Marie Curie in November 2014, bringing health and social care policy experience from a number of public and third sector roles in Scotland. She has also recently completed a postgraduate qualification in public health in 2014.
Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Northern Ireland
Joan is responsible for leading the charity’s policy and public affairs work in Northern Ireland.
Joan joined Marie Curie having worked in a range of senior management roles in UK and Irish banks.
She is also a Non-Executive Director of the Patient and Client Council.
Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Northern Ireland
Based in our Belfast Hospice, Craig supports Marie Curie’s policy and public affairs work in Northern Ireland.
Prior to taking up the role, he worked for a local public affairs and PR agency.
Outside of Marie Curie, Craig is the Communications Officer for the Northern Ireland Government Affairs Group.
He studied at Queen’s University Belfast and holds a BA Hons degree in Politics.
