This page includes the details of who is responsible for the review and awarding of grants through the Marie Curie Research Grant Scheme.
Expert review
To ensure we fund the highest quality research, all grants awarded through our grants scheme are externally reviewed by 2-3 national and international experts in the topics and methodologies covered by the application. Expert reviewers are selected based on a diverse set of criteria and in line with our conflicts of interest policy. Marie Curie makes initial checks before approaching reviewers and asks expert reviewers to confirm that they have no conflicts before they review an application. For more information read our Conflicts of Interest Policy.
Reviewers provide written feedback based on predetermined criteria and scoring, which is anonymously fed back to applicants for their response. Both the reviews and the applicants’ responses are shared with the Research Funding Committee.
